Of the many, many things currently on my mind, there is one event that has quickly floated towards the top: the collaboration between 3.1 Phillip Lim + Target.
I am sure I should be much more concerned about the sharp rise in gas prices after Labor Day, how I am going to effectively save enough in my 401K so I don’t have to retire at the prime age of 85, and maybe, what I am going to eat for dinner tonight. But, no. None of those matter at the moment. 3.1 Phillip Lim matters.
I have become increasingly interested in this exceptional collaboration between Target and this fresh from New York Fashion Week designer that coincidentally just shared his Spring ’14 collection just yesterday. On September 15th, Lim’s collaboration will be released to select Target stores nationwide. (Actually, I just read that Target reps confirmed that a few stores jumped the gun, and that some of the stores leaked the collection early…Oops!)
3.1 Phillip Lim for Target embodies Lim’s philosophy that clothing is meant to refine, not define. Rooted in a classic fall palette of neutral tones and prints, the collection features more than 100 items and ranges in price from $19.99 to $299.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $59.99 for accessories. Standout pieces include a trench coat for women and a leather moto jacket for men.
